~ Transformation- Reflection ~
Reflection is compared to a mirror image, because when you look at yourself in the mirror you are looking at your own reflection, and when reflected a figure you are just flipping the figure to your left, right, down and up. You could reflect an image over the x- axis lets said without knowing the exact rule , because you could use the quadrants, and the little boxes. The original figure an its reflection is exactly equal distance from the line of symmetry, because you are just flipping the figure you are not increasing or decreasing the figure. For example, when you look at yourself in the mirror does it make you thinner or thicker than you are? No it does not, its just like a figure being reflected you are making it exact shape but on a different quadrants. I think that we can determine the line of symmetry if we are given the image and the points of the original figure, because you could look at the coordinates that are given and determine in which quadrants its in. For example, the original point of A, -1,5 B, 4,6 C, -4,2 D 2,1. now with the shape you could determine what quadrants the prime figure is at and its going to be in quadrants 3 and 4. When looking at a figure you could also determine which one of the two is the original figure. You could determine this because the letters are different. The original is figures letter don't have this symbol ( ' ).

~ Transformation- dilations ~
~ The dilated figure does not change in shape, but the shape will zoom in or out. That would make the shape smaller,or larger. It also changes in location. For example, if the scale factor is greater than 1 it would get larger, and if the scale factor is less than 1 the figure would get smaller. When we zoom in a photo the photo get larger. Its the same as with dilation when we zoom into the figure the figure would get larger and when we zoom out the figure it gets smaller. If the figure undergoes a dilation with a scale factor of 1.5 the figure would get larger than the original figure. And when it undergoes a scale factor of 0.5 the figure would get smaller than original figure. Dilation and translation differ because when drawing dilation you are zooming in or out. When drawing translation you are moving the figure up, down, left or right. Multiplying by 1/3 is the same as diving by 3 because it is commutative..

~ Transformation- Translation ~
When looking at a figure I know that it is Transformation when the location size or orientation of a figure. The new points that are made are called prime letters. I would describe translation Also a translation occurs when a figure slides across x-coordinate plane. An translated figure will never change in shape or size. But it will only change in its location. The reason for this is because the figure only slides its figure. You can translate a figure without a coordinate plane you must read the direction that tell you the units that you must go up,down, right,or even left. Then you see which coordinate are different. After that you subtract the difference and you put your new coordinate together. For example, If G is located at (3,7) and G' is located at (3,4). The first step that you have to do is look at what axis is the same and what are different. In this case the x-axis are the same and the y-axis are different. So now my next step would be to subtract 7 and 4. and my answer would be 3. So my figure would be 3 units down. And this is an example is how you can find out the units that you go up,down, right,or left. Without using a coordinate plane..
