back to the future
I just finish a project named back to the future. The project was about the cost of some items that you chose to pick. you have to find the price of the items cost from 1989. after You find the cost of the items you have to find the cost of the items in 2009. Then you find the percent increase. Then you have to make a prediction of how much the items wil cost in 2029. But you dont change the items at all. The items that you picked from 1989 Is the same items you find and make a prediction from 2009 and 2029. I had a partner while doing this project. But for me doing this project was fun. We had to find out the cost of the items and i have never know. The difficult part of this project was to write the essay. Because i had a partner so we had to write a two page essay in font 12. but i acted like i was talking to a friend and explaining the steps that i took. If i did this project again i would not do it differently because it was fun doing it. But i would do it by myself cause then i would only want to write one page instead of two.LOL ;-)

The day before the event
I feel confident about the math exam tomorrow and Wednesday.I feel the way I feel because Ms. Pulphus has made us learn almost everything that we need to learn. I think that 8th grade math in general is kind of confusing for example like the subtracting polynomials. some things I would like ms pulphus to do after the test is over is Projects, trips and etc.. Im so prepared to get go of this school and go to high school. Im so tried of junior high. I think I know everything I need to know to go on to high school. I need to improve on some things in order to success for example I need to improve on Angles coming to school more. stop talking while the speaker in the room. And Also pay attention. But anyways 3 academic goals is pass and go on to high school. To come to school from now to graduation. And my last goal is to get in the high school of my choice. ;-*

8th grade math state test
I'm i ready to take the state test next month............ I don't think that I'm ready to take the test because I have been missing days of school. The days that I miss school I am losing the chance to learn something.. My teacher Ms.Pulphus teaches a knew lesson almost everyday...... The 8 grade work is type hard I'm not going to lie...... I feel like the test is coming up to early........ But I know that I'm going to pass it...... even though im not ready for it.........
~ Transformation_ Conclusion ~
Well did i enjoy the unit with transformation..... The answer is yes i did in enjoy the unit drawing and finding new ways to do things. For example when we learned how to draw the new figure without the little lines....... I think that you can apply transformation in your daily life, because when you start at one point and then you ended up some where else. So you find the distance that you went. And now you where you are at..... Also you can use reflection because you are drawing the same figure the shape or size does not change it just change in the location....... It's like when you look at yourself in the mirror . look at yourself you dont get smaller or bigger, shorter or taller.

~ Transformation- Reflection ~
Reflection is compared to a mirror image, because when you look at yourself in the mirror you are looking at your own reflection, and when reflected a figure you are just flipping the figure to your left, right, down and up. You could reflect an image over the x- axis lets said without knowing the exact rule , because you could use the quadrants, and the little boxes. The original figure an its reflection is exactly equal distance from the line of symmetry, because you are just flipping the figure you are not increasing or decreasing the figure. For example, when you look at yourself in the mirror does it make you thinner or thicker than you are? No it does not, its just like a figure being reflected you are making it exact shape but on a different quadrants. I think that we can determine the line of symmetry if we are given the image and the points of the original figure, because you could look at the coordinates that are given and determine in which quadrants its in. For example, the original point of A, -1,5 B, 4,6 C, -4,2 D 2,1. now with the shape you could determine what quadrants the prime figure is at and its going to be in quadrants 3 and 4. When looking at a figure you could also determine which one of the two is the original figure. You could determine this because the letters are different. The original is figures letter don't have this symbol ( ' ).

~ Transformation- dilations ~
~ The dilated figure does not change in shape, but the shape will zoom in or out. That would make the shape smaller,or larger. It also changes in location. For example, if the scale factor is greater than 1 it would get larger, and if the scale factor is less than 1 the figure would get smaller. When we zoom in a photo the photo get larger. Its the same as with dilation when we zoom into the figure the figure would get larger and when we zoom out the figure it gets smaller. If the figure undergoes a dilation with a scale factor of 1.5 the figure would get larger than the original figure. And when it undergoes a scale factor of 0.5 the figure would get smaller than original figure. Dilation and translation differ because when drawing dilation you are zooming in or out. When drawing translation you are moving the figure up, down, left or right. Multiplying by 1/3 is the same as diving by 3 because it is commutative..

~ Transformation- Translation ~
When looking at a figure I know that it is Transformation when the location size or orientation of a figure. The new points that are made are called prime letters. I would describe translation Also a translation occurs when a figure slides across x-coordinate plane. An translated figure will never change in shape or size. But it will only change in its location. The reason for this is because the figure only slides its figure. You can translate a figure without a coordinate plane you must read the direction that tell you the units that you must go up,down, right,or even left. Then you see which coordinate are different. After that you subtract the difference and you put your new coordinate together. For example, If G is located at (3,7) and G' is located at (3,4). The first step that you have to do is look at what axis is the same and what are different. In this case the x-axis are the same and the y-axis are different. So now my next step would be to subtract 7 and 4. and my answer would be 3. So my figure would be 3 units down. And this is an example is how you can find out the units that you go up,down, right,or left. Without using a coordinate plane..
